We meet, usually in Ipswich, at members’ houses to chat for a couple of hours in French, with a little work on language points. It is therefore not suitable for complete beginners. We also read books as a group and work with other documents such as newspaper articles, pictures, films and occasionally listen to songs.  It is usually possible to keep up a conversation in French on a variety of topics for most of the session and some grammatical or other exercise may be set set for homework.
