u3a in East Suffolk is a cooperative offering educational, recreational and social activities for its members. Membership is available to those who are in their ‘third age’ - the time after finishing working full-time or raising a family - and with the time and opportunity to pursue interests or try something new.

Our membership year runs from 1 July to 30 June and the annual subscription is £17.50. Any new member joining on or after 1 March will have Extended Membership until 30 June in the following year.
The annual subscription includes:

If you do not have a printer, local libraries are able to print documents straight from a website for you for a small charge. If you are unable to get the form printed, please contact the Membership Secretary with your full address and one will be posted to you.
One membership form per person is required.
Please return the form with your payment details to the postal address below which is also shown on the form.
When your form has been received and payment is confirmed you will be sent your Membership Card.
The back of the Membership Card includes details of how to log in to our website. As a member you have access to sections of the website not available to the general public.
You will need to produce your Membership Card when you attend a Speaker Meeting. You will also need to show your card to the Group Leader of any interest groups you join, both the first time you attend and each subsequent year when new cards are issued.
Monthly Meetings
Regular monthly Speaker Meetings are held in all four of our venues - Kesgrave, Felixstowe, Saxmundham and Woodbridge.
Your membership subscription entitles you to attend any of these meetings at any of our venues; there is no charge and no need to book.
The programme of upcoming talks and details of the venues are on the Monthly Meetings page.
Interest Groups
You can join any of our interest groups subject to places being available. Details of all our groups are on the Interest Groups page. There may be a small additional cost for some groups to cover materials or hire of a meeting place. You may wish to consider starting your own group if you have a particular interest you would like to share.
If you have any questions about a particular group, please contact the Group Leader via their group page.
If you have any general questions about Interest Groups, please contact the Group Coordinator.
Renewing your Subscription
After your initial subscription, payments for renewing in future years can be made by Standing Order. To do this, download the form and return it to the postal address below which is also shown on the form.
