Interest Groups are set up to run on a self-help basis, with members sharing knowledge, experience and skills. Our Groups Team is structured to help groups run smoothly, promote new groups and manage waiting lists for members wishing to join groups which are full. No groups would be possible without the dedication of those members who are prepared to give their time to lead or coordinate one or more groups.

Every group has their own set of pages on our website.  Any member can ask to join a group by contacting the group leader using the “Email the Group Contact” button on the first page which opens a contact form. Alternatively, you can send an email directly by appending to the email prefix shown in the table.

Some groups have to limit the number of members who can join, mainly due to the size of the venue. If a group is shown as having no vacancies, you can place your name on a waiting list by contacting the Groups Coordinator using the button below. We will let you know when a space becomes available. However, it may be possible for the Groups Team to set up a new, similar group should sufficient members show an interest. If you have an idea for a new group, please contact the Groups Coordinator to discuss it. We are available to guide new group leaders as needed.
