Petanque is played outdoors on a pitch using 2 to 3 metal boules balls per person in two teams each of 1-3 people. The objective is for each team to throw as many balls as possible closest to the little jack ball (conchonnet) or knock opponents' balls further away.

Vistitors to Europe will have seen this popular game commonly played in parks.

We have a mix of abilities and are pleased to welcome experts and help beginners learn.

Petanque balls are available to help you get started.
