Meeting at the Group Leader’s home in Felixstowe to explore and discuss French novels, poetry and drama in the original French text. So far we have read a play - Giraudoux's La Guerre de Troie n’aura pas lieu – a philosophical essay - Simone Weil's L'Iliade ou le poème de la force - a novel - Camus' La peste - and an autobiography - Annie Ernaux's Les Années. We are now starting sessions on poetry when each member brings their favourite poem or song to read and discuss.
