NOW in its 10th year
A fun friendly group who share creative abilities by leading sessions to pass on our skills and provide support to one another to learn a wide variety of different crafts.
Each month a new craft skill is demonstrated, by consensus and by a member of the group. Since restarting following the pandemic we have attempted Black Work, made Christmas decorations consisting of felt and beading stars, Angels and Floral Fairy lights; padded coat hangers, paper flowers, cards and crochet owls.
In previous years we have learned kumihomo braiding, glass painting, rag rug making, sweet tree making, origami, paper napkin folding, crochet, quilling, created fascinators, crocheted snowflakes which were donated to Home Start, drawn entangles, quilling, made a corsage and produced greetings cards using a variety of disciplines including tea-bag folding, iris folding, prick and stitch.
You will need to bring along your own tools and materials.
An e-mail is sent by the Group Leader a week before each meeting to remind everyone of the meeting and what equipment will be required for the tutorial.
Refreshments: we are spoilt by the availability of the "Smile Cafe" which is open on a Wednesday morning providing refreshments at a very reasonable cost or bring your own.
