This group  meets on Tuesdays from 09:30 till 12:30 with a break for refreshments at Martlesham Community Hall, Felixstowe Road, IP12 4PB [Behind Tesco].

Please arrive a few minutes early so that play can begin at 09:30.

It is a relaxed duplicate pairs bridge group with assistance during play, if required from our tutor Chris Brown.

Chris voluntarily runs a Zoom teaching session on a Monday evening at 19:30 for our club members, and manages an excellent teaching resource on his website.

It is for members who are familiar with the basics of bridge and wish to develop their skills further.

Players are expected to be reasonably confident with Acol bidding and most common Bridge Conventions.

We share the Hall, Group 1 at one end and Group 2 at the other, allowing easy progression of players from one group to the other as they so progress/desire.

On the last Tuesday in the month we join with the more competitive player element encompassed by Group 2, for a social Mitchel Movement morning of play.

The warm hall is light and airy, with good parking facilities, has a ramp access for those members with mobility problems, toilets and a kitchen.

Members pay a small one off charge to cover the cost of the hire of the hall from March to September, and on the day for refreshments.
