Saxmundham - 2nd Wednesday of the month - 10.00 a.m. - 1200 midday
This group has space for another member
NOW in its 7th year
We meet at The Fromus Centre, Saxmundham, IP17 1AL where there is plenty of free car parking.
We each pay £1 a month, which is payable on your first visit to cover the hire of the room.
Each month a new craft skill is demonstrated, by concensus and by a member of the group. During the past year we experimented with die-cutting, made a brooch out of ric rac, crocheted a poppy, made a xmas table decoration, made tassells out of garden twine, crocheted snowflakes (donated to HomeStart), knitted a scarf, drawn zentangles, done quilling and learned paper beading.
In previous years we have learned kumihomo braiding, glass painting, rag rug making, sweet tree making, origami, paper napkin folding, crochet, quilling, created fascinators, made a corsage and produced greetings cards using a variety of disciplines including tea-bag folding, iris folding, prick and stitch.
Work on your own project amongst friendly, helpful like-minded ladies, (although men are not excluded from the group) - this could be: cross-stitch, knitting, crochet, jewellery, cards etc.
The choice is yours to join in with the tutorial or continue to work on your own project.
You will need to bring along your own tools and materials and be able to work on a small table.
An e-mail is circulated a week before each meeting to remind everyone of the meeting and what tools will be required for the tutorial.
We take turns providing the refreshments. Although mugs are supplied by the Fromus Centre, many of us take our own mug.
DIRECTIONS: Heading from Ipswich along the A12 towards Gt. Yarmouth, take the 2nd right turn for Saxmundham (or first left turn to Saxmundham if coming from the Gt Yarmouth direction).
